16:41 it might be because Gohan knows the Masenko, a move that literally channels your evil thoughts into a beam. Most of Piccolo's moves are like that, channeling evil and whatnot.



Also I love the fact that the Devilmite beam deals damage differently based on how impure a character is. Goku is fine in base, but going Super Saiyan does actually hurt him, and we saw that for Freeza it's an insta-kill while others like Cell or Fat Buu are really hurt, but not killed.

I remember a what if in super Sonic warriors 2 where Piccolo gets the Majin power up instead of Vegeta. It was very short but I loved it when I was a kid. It's just cool to see something that couldn't happen in the original story without a couple changes.

I love the idea that Cell isnt immune to the destructo disk, it just cut at a bad angle and Cell's regen was so fast it looked like it did nothing

In the PAL version of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, the dialogues are in Japanese, so the player follows the story through subtitles. In the "what if" story of Vegeta, it's not explicit who kills Nappa, although is implied that Goku is the responsible one. Instead of Goku saying that Nappa would've been alright if Vegeta didn't blow him up, he says "You've got to be kidding!! You killed our fellow warriors, too!!" and in the end, Yajirobe says: "On your side I'd end up dead! Like that Saiyan!!", which doesn't confirm who killed Nappa. That way the motivation for Vegeta turning Super Saiyan would've make more sense - although the idea of Vegeta reaching Super Saiyan because of Nappa's death is still hilarious!
