The tape is overkill and a PITA! However, it will come off pretty easy with a heat gun or a hair dryer. The glue from the tape will loosen with a little bit of heat and pull off pretty easily. Any residue can also be removed pretty easily with a little Goo-gone. I use a 1/3 oz roll-on glass perfume to apply the goo-gone. Rub it a little bit with your finger and wipe off.

10:55 Yea the taped items are getting ridiculous, thrifts should try using painter's tape for things like that, I'm assuming the books were taped like that just to keep the set together, but now they kind of ruined it, painter's tape would still keep the set together and wouldn't leave residue or tear off artwork

Wow. Some of these stores price crazy. People might be willing to pay $40 a game on Amazon, but that doesn't mean they will pay the same at a thrift store. Each marketplace has its own ceiling on items. Anyway, I'm sure I'm preaching to the converted! 😅
