Very interesting video. I came to a similar conclusion, but with respect to my retirement, not professional work. Once I retired, I started drinking more because, heck, I felt like I'd "earned" it; and, besides, I no longer had to be up in the morning. After a while, however, each drinking episode resulted in my being sluggish and lethargic the next day (maybe two days). Eventually I asked myself: "Is this how I want to spend my 'golden years'?" Obviously, no. I want to be as healthy as I can. I want to be able to enjoy time with my wife, my kids, and my grandkids. Alcohol was interfering with that, so I realized I needed to stop drinking.

For the most part we are addicted to the buzz the high! Not the specific drug that dose it to us but anything that will get you to that point! But alcohol is one of the worst ! Because it's legal! Jordan Peterson is an amazing man! I think he should run to be the next Canadian priminister!!!

Good video...He has me thinking...only occasional drinker now, but may reduce...Heavy drinking for fun when young, many close friends gone from liver failure...Discussed with family to get them thinking...told them to take just some pure drinking alcohol and put it in your eye to know how your body feels about this chemical in your body....

Leon... Please look at what Jordan Peterson has been saying about gay people. You have a lot of gay followers, including myself. He may have given up alcohol but it is arguable that it would be better for the planet if he were drinking. He would have less time and energy to abuse the LGBT+ community. Please check him out before u use him further as a good example of someone who doesn't drink alcohol. Adolf Hitler didn't drink alcohol either. Love your work.
