One of the biggest own goals record companies made back then was having songs that were way way WAY ahead of their time and not re-releasing them when time finally caught up.
Had this been Lene Lovich’ debut single and had it been released in 1981 it would have been a massive hit record in Britain.

I bought the album this was from when it came out. She appears so odd in this video. It's possible I may not have the same set of sensibilities I did then. Not a bad song, though. Cool groove.
