Also I feel like castaways has this weird subdued feeling, like you're in some way distanced from the events being described. Like the events being described include not having a home and facing potential death at sea, but the emotional vibes I get from it are weirdly muted. That, I think is one of the key reasons people related to it, because recently it feels like a lot of shit has been going down but also accepting it in an emotionally disconnected way is the norm. Also the central theme of having no home, to me that reeks of the current generations collective discomfort.

Wow, I just keep getting impressed by Martina's singing, everything is just so perfect: intonation, rhythm, consonants, , (immaculate flavor) articulation, all of it - just so captivating and satisfying!

I loved that my kids watched the Backyardigans because of the ingenious music on every episode. I loved how music genres were combined. One of those few kid shows that adults can appreciate lol.
