My favorite thing about these games as opposed to the newer ones (except LeafGreen and FireRed obviously) is how each room plays something different

Entering Lorelei's room and hearing the gym music gives you a feeling of "oh it's not that bad so far; just another gym leader battle!" then hearing the rocket music in Bruno's room gives you a sense of "oh it's getting serious now!" And the Pokémon Tower music in Agatha's room is almost like a lull (especially since she's the easiest one), and then for Lance and the rival it's back to the Indigo Plateau music, like it comes full circle again and after having beaten the last three it pumps you up again just like when you first heard that music after walking through route 22 and victory cave

If you think this sounds wrong, you are correct. This is using an Incorrect and inaccurate Sample Rate. Emulators default to lower Sample Rates, and it can also help improve performance. But at least it doesn't have reverb
