How to Frame a 1,200sqft Home or ADU with a Volstrukt Steel Frame Kit in 1 day!

Показать описание
In this video we frame a 1,200sqft 2 bed, 2 bath home in Austin, Texas. Our steel frame kits can be used for ADU's, small homes, tiny homes on wheels, mobile retail, and more!

For this particular steel frame we used 20ga and 18ga galvanized steel with a 3.5" stud profile. All of the studs in this frame were computer designed, machine-manufactured within 1mm of accuracy, and pre-assembled in our facility. We ship the pre-assembled wall sections and roof trusses to the job site for a swift and accurate framing process.

Feel free to check out more info on our website.

This is so freakin' awesome!!! Well done, Jayson & Volstukt Team! It brings so much joy to my heart seeing the speed, accuracy, and durability achieved with the FRAMECAD system. Truly a game changer for the residential construction industry. Keep up the great work, I so look forward to working with you all one day on a project.

I'd be very intersted in seeing a cost comparision between light-gauge steel, SIP, CLT, and aircrete for the same floorplan.

Love what you're doing here! This may be in my family's future.

There's no way two people could lift a wood header like they do at about 1:45 into the video. Wood-based houses require a crane to lift a lot of the headers and trusses. The only crane you'd see on a Volstrukt home site is the one used to get everything off the truck!

Hello
You can use magic roof material to cover the roof, which is much more resistant and prevents the structure from shaking

Looks amazing! What about "sweating" in cold climates due to the thermal breaks?

The -40C here in Canada creates quite a temperature differential. Will these sweat and rot the drywall or exterior OSB sheeting? Even with closed cell spray foam?

I want to build a custom steel framed house and your system looks awesome. I love the fact that it’s termite and fire resistant. I think my favorite part is the fact that everything is perfectly square and level. No warped studs to attach drywall to.

Benefits, straight, lightweight, fast. What's average cost comparison to engineered? I'm an architect with a lot of wood prefab experience and will be looking into you folks to see more.

This is fantastic. Can you build 2 storey structures like this?

Which model is this? Also can you please add floor plans to your site? The 3d model is cool but I also would like to see floor plans!

shouldn't there be a sealing strip under the walls? Keeps out bugs and moisture (but not flooding!)

Can you post the final products video?

Do you check for plumb and level when putting / screwing everything together? Or are the studs marked in a way to where they will be plumb and level when assembling? I see no one checking for plumb, square or level, just wondering how that is done / or if it is necessary to do with assembly of structure. Thank you

Is that concrete slab? Are the bungalows from Home Depot stacked like that?

What type of insulation would be best. I have heard your home will echo in proper insulation is not used.
