Zen 5 is the knockout punch by AMD in the data center. The only factor limiting AMD's market share growth in data center will be how many chips TSCM can physically produce in 2024/2025.

Doesn't matter how fast the 8000 series is till the x3d parts come out.

AM5 is King. Can't wait to see how they enhance the X3D tech with 8000 series

If the video has chapters, why not make the sponsored segment a chapter on it's own?

Been in love with my 3900X for a while now. But upgrading from that to the 8900X or 8950X, holy moly...

...you know, it feels just like yesterday when the amd's 7000 series cpus and intel's 13th gen cpu came out and now we're talking about the next gen cpus.

If they get an uptick in performance better than Zen 2 to Zen 3, that'll be crazy. My 7950X3D gets things done basically instantly already. I can't imagine. Oh yes I can ❤😂

I wonder if the RDNA architecture changes too. I hope I can play then AAA games on a small factor pc or a laptop without huge power consumption. Efficiency is king!

To whoever is thinking of waiting for the 8950X: there will always be something to keep you "waiting".

I think this is a "good" time to buy a GPU (in quotes because nvidia prices have gone up a little bit, but they're predicted to possibly go up even more). Nvidia basically killed the 4090TI so there's no point to waiting for that, and the 5090 will take years to release.

CPU wise, as soon as they release the 8950X people will be waiting for the 8950X3D. Then they'll talk about threadripper possibly becoming cheaper (it won't, threadripper is a garbage platform that is always years late and with sky high costs for mediocre gains)

Right now AM5 already has DDR5 and PCIe5 which is barely utilized (but supported anyway), there's no AM6 in the horizon, the 12v-only PSUs are a waste of time, and if you want a better memory controller well that's part of the CPU, not the mobo.

There are no new M2 drives coming, nothing new in terms of DDR memory, coolers have remained unchanged since forever, "new" cases are unimpressive, incremental upgrades to capacity for HDDs...

All in all, a great time to buy hardware. You can always upgrade to the 8000 series later and sell your 7950X(3D) for a very marginal hit. I say go for it.

Happy to see that AMD's CPUs are still going strong. Jumped onto that ship with the original Ryzen with a 1600x, went to a 3600 and then a 5900x. Never been disappointed with these. (Although I got to admit, I've never been disappointed with a CPU I bought. Before the 1600x I was on an Intel i5 2500k and it was amazing too).

I wonder if it is possible for AMD to use the X3D Tech on GPUs or are they already doing that?

The CPU market is pretty exciting. But the GPU market... I prefer not to talk about that.

A 50k+ cinebench is pretty impressive. Will be interesting to see where Intel's 14th gen ranks.

Your videos taught me to always skip to the last segment in order to get to the news in the title.

I bought a b350/ryzen 1600 combo back in 2017, just did a full system upgrade using the same b350 motherboard with a 5800x3d and a radeon 6800. I think im just gonna stick with this until am6.

The only way Zen 5 excites me is if the CPU-chipset link jumps up to 16GB/s just like Intel best systems, or better yet 32GB/s so that a premium 700 series MB could have some SERIOUS I/O on it. It would also need DDR5 running up to 8000MT/s for 2 sticks and 6000MT/s for 4 sticks. THAT would excite me.

But with a 5800X3D and an X570S MB I have pretty much the same thing Zen 4 has with X670, except for maybe a gen5 NVMe port, but who cares? Most transfers won't even be capped by the gen4 interface X570 already has.

Wish AMD's GPU department was as good as their CPU's department

My prediction on the higher multicore score for the 14600k is that the E cores are allowed to clock higher.
