After India sealed Victory at the MCG, Rohit Sharma started celebrating. MS Dhoni stopped him from doing so. The Indian Captain wanted to give a strong message to the Australian Team. He wanted to convey that his team was not going to be happy after winning just one game. They were here to win the entire CB Series.

This was the emergence of New India under the leadership of a man who had tremendous belief in his own ability. A man who knew that nothing was impossible to achieve for this Indian Team.

Just an adder... That Dhoni didn't take over right after the WC... Dravid continued as captain for another 6 months & then post England tour Dhoni led India at the T20 WC... After we won the WC... Dravid decided to quit as captain & then Dhoni took over the reigns of the limited overs side permanently !

And not sure if people realise that it was after this CB series loss that Australia's decline as a super power began... They still played good cricket but weren't menacing anymore...
