The Queer Network explores Queer in the 21st century.
Through a new original series called Queer From the Couch we share interviews, stories, events, people and places.
We will also be sharing current news and weekly entertainment tidbits from around the globe, with an exciting segment called THIS JUST IN, hosted by Justin Gerhard.
Last but not least, we want you to be a part of this awesome channel by submitting your videos with anything you would love to share. All we ask is that you do it from a couch.
Finally, as an ode to our beginnings, The Gay Men Channel videos will continue to live on The Queer Network.

As an older gay man, I also find the word Queer as a stigma. I prefer being called gay. But, I am glad to say, that I am trying to expand my acceptability of the word queer. After all, I FINALLY accepted myself as a gay man, although I am still in the closet. I DO appreciate all of the gay channels out here- that is how I enjoy my life.... I do not have the guts to come out of the closet, but I am SO HAPPY for everyone who DID COME OUT! MORE POWER TO YOU ALL! Thanks for allowing my two cents worth. I will continue to watch this channel- Justin, YOU ARE ONE CUTE DUDE! (smile)

To answer what queer means to me, I’d say that for me it’s about inclusion, it’s about taking that stigma away and using queer to empower people. It’s about living your truth, whatever that is!

Having grown up and been called Queer has a slur I find it very offensive. I'm from a different generation and still HATE to hear that used. It will never mean someone other then an offensive term, those scars are real. I realize other cannot see those scars.

I'm not a native speaker so I don't have the negative associations, however I did hear a lot of people using this word, and I quite like it myself to the extent I was gonna get it tatooed - because it helped me figure out who I am (once I learnt it)

Finding a single 'big tent' word to include us all is difficult... time will tell whether queer is the term we can collectively compromise to accept as 'our' label.  Regardless, I wish you both well and applaud both your vision and your efforts!  I look forward to seeing where you take this.  Good luck!

I'm on the fence regarding the term 'Queer'. I can see the point of both the negative and positive comments. I've always felt the term 'Gay' included all sexualities when needing to refer to the LGBTQ+ community.

North west Indiana in Michigan City. We are having our first pride fest to celebrate and show all people in the state that we are wonderful people so can have our own lgbt+ community chapter here I find it amazingly awesome were finally Doing that

i really really hate the word queer. i agree with danny that it is like the n word. i never want anyone to refer to me as queer. horrible word. never never
