Do not forget to put on the safety end caps before starting riding.

My favorite fender or mudguard story is about the time I went touring in New Zealand. I was riding a TREK mountain bike, an 850 antelope that I named Tom Cat. I had mud guards front and back but some how on the airplane from San Francisco the front mudguard got damaged and I had to remove it. This was fine for the most part, until that day with the really big hill. I had a really big hill to ride down and was enjoying the descent, when suddenly a sheep farmer moved his flock out onto the road directly in front of me. The direction the flock was moving was the same direction I was moving so I didn't bother to hit the brakes immediately. Instead, I rode along directly behind the flock and suddenly noticed the the sheep had defecated all over the highway and I was subsequently being splattered by the sheep poo, which by the way made the road too slippery to slam on the brakes, lest I take a fall and really get intimate with the matter.

Just keep being you julian. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion. Some people need to grow up. 😊👍

I’m from Peoria, Illinois. 😂. In the middle of the state, and really the middle of the US. It would be pronounced Illinoian, the s would be silent. I could say I’m a Peorian. Most of our cities are named after Indian tribes. The Peoria were Indians. Chicago was originally an Indian tribe called chicaqua, which means wild onion. But anyways, just ordered some sks mudguards that’s why I’m here haha!

Love your opinionatedness and the stories, keep them coming please! 👍👍😋
Also good review on the Bluemels - will try them on my winter bike soon. If you have any handy tips that could make my mounting experience easier then I’d love to hear them of course 😇😉

I share your experience with those mudguards. Eventually is the keyword for the installation! My advice is to not to attempt unless you do these on a weekly basis!

One BOF to another, keep up your work, we need to stick together. Your videos are always amusing and informational. You seem to be doing a good job of ignoring the haters. Keep it up.

Great video, as always. How did you attach the the rear guard to the seatstay bridge? Is it a case of drilling through it, as it looks like the hole there is at 90 degrees to how it would be if you had a rear rim brake.

Cheers!

You got away with the Jimmy Saville reference without having to cut it.

No sign of your Mason Definition in the background Justin. I would love to see it making a cameo all lovingly cleaned and spruced up with its new chain and cassette. I live in hope. (Hope the emotion not the Hope in Derbyshire) Loved the mudguard unboxing. Beauties they are. They don't look too bad on the Secan. Mudguards are a necessary evil but they do tend to spoil the aesthetics of a nice looking bike i feel. Not many bikes look better with them on put it that way. Only my humble opinion obviously. Keep up the good work.

Fenders are guitars they don’t go one bikes. Mudguards go on bikes and I’m a Kentuckian and an American and would never call them fenders. Yes, I’m really from Kentucky.

Wrong. They do require cutting. I just installed mine, and all the stays require cutting. Very surprised that a German company had such poor install instructions and didn't provide all the necessary hardware, eg, some fork lug eyes aren't threaded and require nuts for the bolts.
