Hey guys! First, the "censored" boss is NOT who you think it is. It's just a normal boss from the ScareScraper.
Secondly, to the "nostalgia goggles" peeps. I literally replayed and reviewed the original game just a year ago:

the slam is a cool idea but it seems like being able to do it so many times in succession was the wrong move. in dark moon the powered-up suction would never completely take out a ghost in one shot. I might see if only using it once or twice at a time feels any better

EDIT: never mind, folks. i've since completed the game and the slam rocks. i think, even if catching ghosts has a bit less depth than in previous games (which i'd already say is debatable) the sheer number of options luigi has in terms of interacting with his surroundings more than makes up for it

Should’ve been called Luigi’s Mansion: Last Resort

My only complaint is the music. I love Koji Kondo’s orchestral sound but I much rather prefer Kazumi Tokata’s creepy techno and electronic beats from the original LM.

I will continue to complain about the title not being “Luigi’s Mansion: Tomb Service”.

I really love Luigi’s Mansion but hope the combat isn’t completely broken by the Slam. I loved the “tug-of-war” fights of the previous games.

Edit- After playing the game I can confidently say it’s worth your 60$. The slam is actually pretty fun to pull off and still really satisfying.

This is one of those games where you can say it sucks and that's considered a positive.

That "Liked" rating feels kind of dissapointing....but i'll still buy.

And to think that I was never a fan of the LM series, now I'm actually eager to buy this one. I guess it's true, the older you get, your interests will change

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be waiting for Gooigi to be an echo fighter in Smash

Shame to hear about the combat
They should've kept Dark Moon's Surge along side the Slam

It seems like the only problems Andre had were the battle system and soundtrack. That's a shame too, cause they were my favorite parts of Dark Moon.

Then again, I have disagreed with some of Andre's reviews in the past, so I may absolutely love this game when it releases. It seems like it's at least good though, so I'm still hyped for it!

I've never played a Luigi's Mansion game before, and man, I'm upset at myself for waiting this long to try one. Luigi's Mansion 3 is EASILY one of the best games of the year. It's a genuine masterpiece. Combat is super fun, the puzzles are fantastic, and the story/presentation is amazing. Don't hesitate to get this, it's GREAT.

Simplistic gameplay with memorable moments and charming detail, sounds about right for a Luigi's Mansion title.

I just find it weird that you keep mentioning how the combat of the previous ones is better while in reality it has always been very simple.
The first game is ridiculously easy in terms of combat and the variety does not change much either and that's fine, the combat is not what made it great(excluding boss fights), it was the exploration, puzzles and the atmosphere and based of what I've seen this game has a ton more of that.

I have not played this yet so I might be wrong but some of the complaints you had seemed VERY nit picky, it reminds me of when you guys did the BOTW review you spent like 5 minutes complaining about the inventory system when in reality it was fine.
