Thank you WG for showing these great videos. These great people who stepped up to the mark deserve every bit of acknowledgement we can give them.

"We were bombed a lot, but otherwise no worries..." This guy is a reminder that without the ground crew, the aces are going nowhere and doing nothing.

Really interesting hearing the stories of these WW2 Vets. My Grandpa was a TSGT of the US Airforce during Vietnam. He sadly passed when I was only 13/14 and also I live in Germany and he lived in California. I wish I could hear his stories.

It is SO important to preserve the memories of these people, true pearls...they're the last of their kind, approaching their 100th year of life. LEST WE FORGET!!! Well done, W.o.W., really WELL DONE!!!

So true what he said at the end... My grandfather was RAF ground crew during the war, he used to repair canopies on Hurricanes and Spitfires among many others apparently. Sadly he passed a way before I was born, so I could never speak to him about it. It would be good if the poiliticians could come together and work towards the common foe we face at the moment and put past tensions to one side, at least for a little while. Thankyou Frederick Bashford for all you did for us and our allies, and the Russian ground crews he worked with!

Please make russian subs for videos on this channel and english subs for videos on official russian channel. You post different videos on official RU and EU channels when it would be better to post all the stories on both channels. We do respect all heroes, not only ones who lived in our countries i believe. Thank you.

It'a good to see these WW2 veterans are still here with us telling us entertaining stories whether it is comedy, tragic, happy, unhappy, etc stories. We won't hear it from them anytime in the future. So thank you WG for the posts. Would like to see more

This one tho! : 2:12

I hope WG does publish the full interviews with these heroes, anything less is rather disrespectful IMO.Their stories need to be told in their own words, they're giving their precious time so we should listen.

Thank You for your service Gentlemen. I wear my flag proudly for Canada. We bring home more repatriated Canadian Sailors today, Why didn't the code work today? Any others who experienced an invalid code format? No problems last 2 days, so wondering????

Good video. All respect to ground crew. Tough 'ol bird. Anyone else curious about the aircraft in the background? 4 radial engines, and from what I can see a cooler inlet oriented to the side instead of the more usual under (or sometimes over) the engine nacelle. B-29? Anyways good story by one of the gents who made it possible.
