I tried for my license several times in Oregon. Then I went to Indio, California with my parents, and ended up taking the test at the Palm Springs DMV. I got my license there. I don't think I did any better than I did in Oregon. I think in California if you get the guy that gives you the test back alive you get a license. I only got one ticket for speeding all the 34 years I've been driving. I'm a very careful driver.
