When you took the motor out can you show if motor moves both ways?

I would like to say that for my 2020 sunsetter awning that needed a motor replacement, the construction was nothing like the awning in this video. No screws holding the awning fabric to the motor, no pins to remove and replace. The motor for my sunsetter could only be replaced by sliding the motor horizontally out of the tube assembly, not by detaching and pulling out forward as shown.

Hello... My screens, when the stop button is pushed or when the screen is retracted to the top, drops a foot to a foot and a half then stops. Would that be an issue with the motor or the remote? Thanks for any help.
