NYPD Stepping Up Response To Shootings

The NYPD plans to increase its presence on the streets amid the continuing spike in shootings this summer, including four more incidents across the city just this morning. CBS2's John Dias has the latest.

This is not a policing issue anymore. Even though policing helps. Its the people itself. For months people have been locked up in homes, and now whoever had beef with someone is out there looking for revenge. Where innocent people are getting hurt in the crossfire. Now to be fair also reduced policing has an impact however at the end a Cop alone telling you not to shoot someone is not reason enough to stop someone from doing a crime. Either way that person will find a way to do said crime sooner or later. I know its very common to compare society in Europe and Society in the USA. But hear me out as i lived in Eastern Europe (a bad part of Europe) and the USA. Shooting don't happen as often over there as they are here (alteast where i lived Kosovo). Generally police shootings where i lived maybe happened only once or twice a year, as swell police loosing their life was very far and few in between (in the last 10 years it was 5 officers). The social structure even though it was a dirt poor part of Europe ridden by organized crime didn't allow people to shoot someone. As it was frowned upon. People did shoot each other if they had a vendetta (blood revenge). However it was never haphazardly. Beside guns are also easy to obtain, we all know the cliche of AK47s literally laying on streets after the civil war in Yugoslavia. It's purely a social thing. We need strong policing to keep everything under a lid while our social workers reform social structures where kids grow up to see violence as not the second, or last option but not as an option at all. Poor countries with literally no social system at all to help people, manage that by simply having good parenting. Its enough to tell you kids to not view violence as a option when they are young. It will set in their brain and it will remain there.

The NYPD commissioner need to get fire and get someone that will get the job done. Lately the aren't doing nothing why cause they got cuts on the NYPD it just show how badly we need reforms. And people in charge need to go and stop their baby fit. Do the job or go home. Besides scared cause they don't want to be held accountable for their actions enough of their abuse if they can perform a job let them go and get who will get the job with respect done and on a professional way

These cops dont want to do there job because they are being held accountable for there actions. Fire them get rid of all them crooked cops get some new officers who will do the job justly and honestly.
