The generation who fought and lived through WW2 are mostly gone, so the present generation truly doesn’t understand the gravity to war on this scale. When you forget history or neglect the lessons, then you’ll repeat it. My fear is that we’re removing the Civil War lessons from our country and it’ll become something that happens in the US again. The other worry becomes from the current generation not knowing the atrocities that took place for socialist and communist regimes coming into power. I don’t consider many of the Western European nations truly socialist, so that example doesn’t have an impact on my beliefs. Hopefully this ends without war and if war does happen it stops with the Ukraine. The next power to take on an invasion will be China taking Taiwan in the near future.
