I live in a country where basketball is a minor sport. I don't watch the mens game, YouTube fed me a Caitlin Clark click bait clip a few weeks ago and I've watched and enjoyed games and interviews etc since then. Previously I only saw negative things about the WNBA but now I'm recognising different players, know the names of some teams and even some of the critics on both sides. Never heard of Sue Bird before or Sheryl Swoopes or others, this is a big positive for women's basketball.

Swoopes' determination to destroy CC isn't because she's downplaying or underestimating CC's capability, but is actually because she's realizing CC's true potential to be the GOAT of all GOATs she probably thought she was. Only to find out that CC is breaking more records on her first season as a rookie (and the season isn't even over yet) what took her entire career span of about a decade to accomplish a few of those records. Swoopes is scared that her legacy in the league would be merely a footnote in CC's list of accomplishments in the WNBA!
