CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Libby (Ashley Judd) gets some internet help from a fellow looking to "get some" from her... until he finds out she's a convicted felon.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
In this thriller, Ashley Judd plays Elizabeth Parsons, who is convicted of murdering her husband and sentenced to a long stretch in prison. After Elizabeth has spent six years behind bars, it turns out that her husband is still alive: he faked his own death as part of an insurance scam, and Elizabeth is soon released. However, Elizabeth's feelings for her husband can hardly be described as warm, and she wants custody of her son. Elizabeth's parole officer (Tommy Lee Jones) wonders if she might try to make his murder a real thing after all, especially since the law states a person cannot be convicted of the same crime twice. Double Jeopardy was directed by Bruce Beresford, from a screenplay by Douglas S. Cook and David Weisberg.

TM & © Paramount (1999)

Ashley's a good actress. It's a shame that she was blackballed by Harvey Weinstein and her career derailed. I know she's had some significant health issues of late and is probably still grieving the death of her mother Naomi, but I hope to see her return to acting someday.

It'd be funny if there was a post-credits scene where she meets him again and says "Hey there, did you see the news? Turns out that I have been innocent, even though I just really killed my ex. Called double jeopardy! So how about that drink?" And he gets all wide-eyed, starts trembling and then runs away...

The way she rolls her eyes from that nice shampoo compliment 😂

Not a fan of Judd, but for her character, this was a great response. The guy was a creep 10 times over and from the first seconds where he just jumped right in even though she didn't ask him to.

I still would have gone for that drink.

A man needs to be careful when speaking to a women and should never say something that may make the girl feel uncomfortable like 'nice shampoo' or ask if she's looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend.

I love this scene. Ive been in her shoes several times. Some dumb guy wants to get with you. And youre looking at him thinking..hmmm does this guy know how much baggage im actually carrying? Dont walk boy run. Unless you are tough enough to handle it.

This scene is funny, Ashley Judd looked like Angelina Jolie back in the 90s here, they still do kind of favor now, but especially back then.
