This is the result of multi layered stand off we took; some 400 app banned, chinese FDI largely restricted, chinese investments completely banned from critical sectors like telecommunications, other trade and economic restrictions, significant force deployment on borders, strict diplomatic posture, political will, huge infra push on chinese borders, people participation in this stand off.
Plus current economic situation of china and geopolitical scenarios also played the role.

This is just temporary, china want to focus more on taiwan for the time being hence they are trying to maintain a neutral stance on the rest of borders .Once the Taiwan issue is solved it, they will focus more on the vietnam china border and indo tibet border .Lets see how it goes .
