Anyone else want $10 sets that are like v-wings and at-rts instead of microfighters

It's funny how much exposure the ARC-170 gets and it only has 2 sets, but the V-Wing gets literally has a few seconds of screen time, but it has 3 sets.

I'm not complaining the V-Wing is awesome C:

It would be interesting to see what 2025's vision in Lego is going to be like. Just in the 20 year span of Lego Starwars(2009), you see the difference between 1999 & 2009. It's quite interesting in change.

I think that, after watching this video, I should definitely rebuild my 2006 V-Wing, such a cool design.

2011 V-Wing: The other two may be more accurate, BUT CAN THEY DO THIS?

The newest one looks nothing like a v-wing! What were they thinking making that flat, wide nose?!?

I bought a lego lot about 8 years ago, and discovered I had the 2001 Imperial Shuttle, 2002 Cloud City Car & 2006 V-Wing Starfighter. Built all of them back and now are 100% complete. The 2001 Imperial Shuttle holds great value still to this day; also featured in the "Lego Starwars Complete Saga" video game. In my personal opinion, there's no comparison to come close to Old vs. New sets. Lego charges twice the price for stickers and decals now days. You go back to '99 & early 2000's when Lego came out with the 'Printed' parts, and it was less expensive.

I had the original when it first came out so I'll always be fond of that one over the others

The 2006 V-Wing had R4-P17, which is Obi Wan's R4 droid, which also showed up in 2005's set 7283 Ultimate Space Battle, again only as a head. Pilot was also in 2005's set 7259 ARC-170 Starfighter.
The 2011 set had R2-Q2, the droid and pilot were exclusive to this set.
The 2014 has an 'unnamed' droid, which also appeared in 2015's set 75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter, again as the 'unnamed' droid. But this droid does appear in 2013's set 75006 Jedi Starfighter & Planet Kamino as an exclusive dark red with the same head print, with an exclusive print body, as R4-P17. This set's Pilot was also exclusive to this set.

So, in conclusion, the 2006 and 2014 sets are basically the same set, as both of them have a pilot (though 2006's had a 'clone' pilot and 2014's had a 'V-Wing' pilot) and both of them have a R4-P17 droid. The two even have the same basic look and color scheme. I'd say 2014's model was more of an update to 2006's model rather than a new model altogether.

Edit: All of these droids were actually supposed to be Q7 models, which were spherical but had the same head as R models. 2006's version is the most accurate in terms of the droid.

Edit 2: I decided to try to make a Q7 by taking two astromech heads and using a Technic 2l axle. Didn't work, if the stud connectors were gone, it would work. But, the Technic balls that you could shoot, from Bionicle, are the perfect size for a Q7, as they're two studs cubed, and astromech figure heads are two studs square but only spherical after the stud inlets.
TLG could easily create a modified Technic ball with a single stud connection to make an accurate Q7.
