Today I'm sharing how to take better photos with your phone. In 2018 phone cameras are better than ever! Whether you have an iPhone or an Android phone for photography it doesn't matter. What matters is the app you will use to take your phone pictures and how you edit.
My recommendation in terms of the camera app is to use Lightroom Mobile - it allows you to shoot in raw and also edit the photos.
My best editing photo apps are Lightroom mobile, Photoshop fix, and Snapseed.

The phone is THE camera you will always have in your pocket so take that opportunity to shoot more, train your eye and improve your photography skills. :)

Thanks for the fun video! Most people who aren't in the hobby can't tell the difference between a photo shot properly with a phone versus a dedicated cam when it's just shared in social media. Sometimes I'd have to tell them that it was shot with a phone.

Happy anniversary and reaching 10K. Great how you turned adversity (camera in the shop) into opportunity (expand vid into new area). I use Snapseed — by Google, versions for Android and IOS, edits RAW, and it’s free — does local and global edits and some surprising things like outside crop content aware fill. Folks can “take” both great and poor pics with their smartphone (or other camera). No amount of editing will rescue a really bad image. Vid title implies emphasis on the shoot, rather than post processing — but we get it. Many casual photographers have abandoned their point-and-shoots (and some consumer grade DSLRs) for smartphone photog, so my sense is that you can enlist more subscribers very quickly if you opt to branch into this arena. The downside risk is losing other subscribers — can’t please everyone.

Nothing beats that camera for souvenirs too!!! If we didn’t have it we would have missed a lot of memories with the big camera as it’s harder to carry/take out! :-)

thank you for the effort and the sharing. aside from lightroom mobile (sorry but i am an anti-adobe guy), are there other iphone apps which allow more control of the camera functions? thumbs up.

Love it. I'm only using my smartphone as a matter of fact. The Galaxy Note 8. At least until I can afford the rebel sl2:).

I'm using Lightroom and Snapseed as well, less so Photoshop. But didn't think about the camera function in Lightroom, definitely will check it out, so thanks for that one:)

The best mobile editing app is still Photoshop Touch, even after it was discontinued. If you don't already own it you can find the APK online and it still works great. As far as the app the default Samsung app is really fantastic offers all the features I need plus editing DOF after the fact.
