While listening to the 1st story about the camper sitting motionless and creeping the other guy out, I kept imagining him sharing his own creepy version of the story.
>>> "I was camping in Alabama one night and was on high alert because a family left quickly, almost immediately after arriving. I was sitting still inside my tent listening for whatever scared them away when another camper arrived. I kept sitting there listening for whatever scared off the previous campers, but all I could hear was a strange, eery silence. Later, when I was just about to call it a night, I suddenly heard someone walking in the woods behind me and saw a flashlight coming towards my tent. I sat up abruptly, listening for movement. The flashlight was quickly turned off but I could still hear someone creeping closer. I was frozen in fear, waiting for them to attack but they didn't. It was the other camper. He was carrying wood but that didn't explain why he was creeping around behind my tent. Also why did he turn off his flashlight? I was totally freaked out. Finally, I was able to drift off to sleep after I was certain my fellow camper was already asleep and in fact not planning my murder. Just as I was drifting off I was startled awake by loud crying. I immediately exited my tent in search of the crying person, in case they needed help. I tracked the sobbing to the nearby tent and decided to intervene and save whoever was in trouble. The trouble is, I'm not naturally a brave man so I had to build up my courage. I crept over to the tent and sat outside listening and waiting for the right moment to rush in and save the victim. What I heard next was the distinct sound of someone waking from a nightmare. That's when I realized that my fellow camper had been crying in his sleep. I didn't want to startle him by making any sudden movements outside of his tent, so I sat there waiting for him to fall back asleep before retreating to my tent. Early the next morning I was again jolted awake by the sound of that man sobbing in his sleep. Frustrated and exhausted, I knew I'd never get back to sleep so I decided to get up and go for a walk. I walked along the trail and came upon his car. A surge of bitterness and irritability came over me (due to a lack of sleep) so I left a message in the dirt on his car that said "You shouldn't cry."
Maybe now he will think twice before crying on his next camping trip. What a creep!" <<<
Haha. I don't know why, but I couldn't get the other guys perspective out of my head while hearing that story. It was kinda fun to write from his point of view.

You have slowly become my favorite cryptid/story channel, I have a short story of my own for you
When I was about 9-10 years old (I'm currently 19) we use to live in a wooded area near a dirt road. Behind our trailer was a hill that went almost straight up in altitude I was never able to go very far up it without the company of our neighbor, Thomas, who had a shotgun; on this hill there were turkey, mountain lion, deer and a three toed black bear we simply called three toe. My brother and I shared a room, one window on my side one window on his side. When I woke up one night I saw yellow bright eyes and a brown face looking in I could clearly see the features on its face I will not lie, I had suspected nothing as a kid loving wildlife. I rolled over suspecting nothing of it when I woke up in the morning I remember telling my mother about the experience, from that night on she checked in my room and every night after that deer was in my window watching me sleep. I've never thought anything of it until recently. I do not believe it was a Wendigo as it had fur but I will admit any time I think of it my eyes water and I get goose bumbs. This is the closest thing to otherworldly I have experienced and I wish I knew if it really was a deer.

more reasons to stay out of the woods.. got a story myself...a bit long, sorry...
This was back during highschool summer of 2010. My Uncle who lives in the countryside of North Carolina was hosting our annual family reunion. My family decided to spend two weeks down there since we never been to North Carolina, so when it came time, we rented a car and headed south. During the first week, my cousins were telling my older brother and me about hog hunting in North Carolina and see if we wanted to go over the weekend. I have gone deer hunting once or twice with my dad and older brother in Michigan where we are from, and plus I wanted to hang out with my cousins. So after talking with the adults and getting their permissions, my cousins were going to take us out that weekend. It was a group of 8 of us total, my cousins, a few of their friends and my brother and I.
We set out early morning on Friday so we can make it to the initial campsite by the afternoon. The plan was to spend the rest of day setting up camp and just hanging out. Then, we will go out hunting for most of Saturday and Sunday. After setting everything up, we were just goofing around the fire..eating food, drink beer and just having a good time for the rest of the night. Around 11 at night, one of my cousin's friend decides to tell ghost stories to past the time. We each took turns telling a story, and eventually after the last person went. We started to hear noises coming from the darkness in the woods. The older one of my cousins blew it off as probably just animals so we shouldn't worry about it. Saying that the fire will scare them away.
After that everyone decided to turn in for the night. My cousins, brother and I were in one tent, while my cousin's friends were in another. Sleeping in a tent out in the woods was something I never could get used to. Just felt weird and the noises in the night made me uncomfortable. I just kept looking at the light of the fire reflecting off the tent before it eventually dies and I started to closed my eyes.
Then suddenly, I started to hear what sound like children laughing. At first, I thought my mind was just playing a trick on me because I was out in the woods and whatnot. And there is no way kids will be out in the middle of woods this late at night. But, then it happens again..this time my brother, who was sleeping next to me, shook my side and whisper "Hey are you awake?" I told him "yeah". He proceeded to ask "Did you hear that too?"...at this point, I was a bit freak out as I told him I also heard it. One of my cousins overheard us and lean up saying "so I wasn't imagining it either." Now all four of us were up trying to listen if we can hear the laughing again.... we could hear the wind in the trees and the bugs..but after a while, everything just seems to went eerily quiet...and then we hear the laughing. One of my cousin yelled out to the other tent thinking it was their friends playing a treat on them. But they yell back that they were hearing the laughing as well...
We were so freaked out by this we huddle as close as we can in the center next to each other, just trying to stay away from the borders. We were so scared we couldn't even get a word out... as neither my cousin's friend or we were talking anymore..it was just the laughing, fingerprints and what look like small shadows running around...eventually after what felt like hours... it just stops....no more laughing, or running around..just silence... at this point, there was no more falling asleep as we stayed up the entire night, how could we.
Eventually, once the sunlight came up we went out of the tents, to find what looks like tracks of small shoes going in a circle around both tents within the dirt.. we pack everything up as fast as we can and got out of there.
When we got back home, my parents as well my uncle and aunt ask why'd we came back so soon. We told them about what happened...they gave us a weird look... then my uncle told my cousins don't go back to spot anymore... which I somewhat expected given that my family are Asian's and we tend to believe more in spirits and such
Since that time, I have never gone camping again. My brother stopped going hunting with my dad as well. Both of my cousin's still do, but they told us they get a cabin now and always return before dark...

That's my story...
