One of their best performances, in my opinion. Didn't realise until recently that around 2:23, Daniel's guitar had issues. Still eagerly looking for a complete (interlaced) source for this show!

2:59 still gives me goosebumps. Neon Ballroom was such a good album. So many of the tracks vividly reflect and express the torment and rage Johns was going through at the time. Amazing.

I will always thank that perfectly timed guitar malfunction for giving us pissed off Dan, producing one of the angriest end of a song I've ever seen. I love how Ben recognises what's going on and feeds from Dan's anger. Epic.

I was lucky enough to be at this recorded concert in Melbourne. Also have it on VHS as park of my "collection". I'm sure I also have a dictaphone recording somewhere because back in those days I was at every Melbourne concert sneaking in my dictaphone along with multiple mini cassettes to change if I was running short. This was before the days of mobile phones with cameras and you couldn't take a video camera into a venue unless you were affiliated with the media.
Most people don't realise that he actually lost sound from his guitar just after 2:22 and that's why he had extra passion during this performance when the sound kicked back in because his equipment had disrupted his ability to get his true message across. I tend to think that because of the interruption it was a better performance due to the additional angst.
