And then in 2010, he left Chelsea and spent the last years of his career at Bayer Leverkusen for a second spell. Chelsea had won the UCL in 2012 and a few months after that - Ballack had retired from football. And 2 years after THAT, Germany won the World Cup. His son also died sadly.
