You lucky you got that kind of support.

I get the crippling support, where it just collapses halfway thru. Then with the resulting chaos, the support gets a hold of itself and does its job, barely in time to do its job

I use morph. The one that is not touching but if overhang is too much it goes into low supporting

Kind of random, but have you had amy problems with extrusion on your cr10? I've got a crx pro (same base as cr10), and I've replaced and tuned literally everything. From the start, the extrusion has been terrible, and adding a creality spider hotend and a dual gear bmg extruder did absolutely nothing. I've done hundreds in upgrades all up, but that's the one thing I haven't been able to solve. Your prints seem to be coming out super nice compared to mine. I can print thing like circles and shapes perfectly fine but whenever the nozzle lifts or retracts fillament it leaves so type of mark or error. Any tips or recommendations?

Well, even with all the supports you could ask .. you’ll get over all by yourself 😅
