This is not the dark side of nature, it's the real side. We humans are the ones who have a habit of seeing nature as kind and pretty, but it's not. Our ancestors knew this, we have forgotten.

Incredible! Nature always surprises us! Our crew got on camera baboons that had an agreement with lions and would trick gazelles, and as an exchange price, they could live with lions near a waterhole. It is fascinating to see it, but also interesting to see this dark side of baboons.

Prion diseases are up there for me. It's one thing for a fungus to make something take root, die, then bloom. But a prion, not an organism but a replicating mistake in the brain, can make an animal malfunction in any number of terrible ways like cannibalism and autocannibalism. There's no logic or reason to it, which makes it all the more upsetting. It's just a very unfortunate mistake.

The guy with the Hyena eating its own cup is so charismatic. He should have a program of his own..

the African buffalo did not seem bad-natured, it seemed just fed up with everything tbh. They just need some grass, water, and their space. XD

I give a like or thumbs up every once in awhile because, well it's kindof the little game we play with our telephone..obviously not knowing if it counts in any way, thus the game...Anyway, this time is different. What an amazing doc this has been. I'm not the youngest person on this earth, so l've seen a few docs but NEVER had l seen a document from this angle. A hard watch but often nature documentarys are cash if you will. Anyway, a sincere thanks to those who put this on YouTube..a new and extraordinary way of seeing nature. Thanks

There was no good or bad nature... That's nature that's it.

The seal pups and Orcas is upsetting to watch but it doesn’t bother me the way a man with a club raised high over his head, towering over the cowering baby does 😭

I get the impression all of these people have never watched a Newscast in their entire lives. Imagine...Nature shocks you...and then you see what people do to each other.

I think Orcas are smart enough not to beach themselves. They probably understand tides better than people.

I'm curious if the story the man m(telling about the Gazelle and the Baboon) is referring to Sir David Attenborough when he keeps saying the other mans name David.

look here... we clicked on the *video* thumbnail because we wanted to SEE the darker side of the animal kingdom... not watch a dude describe it to us while hiding the footage

I’m from Vancouver Island, and the Orcas always play with food -a lot of times you will find carcass on beach in few days after attack.

"Tough to see, as an observer" a sea lion being in distress and pain... As if we, humans, did not inflict much more pain and distress upon others very openly. I'd rather be that sea lion than a pig, a cow, a hen, a guinea pig...

I like the second story because its so honest and true. The first story with the whales, that guy was condescending and trying to impose his ideas as facts. When just like the hyeena guy said, only the animals know why they do what they do. We just assume like we do for literally everything else.

Old buffalo on its last legs may well be followed or watched by predators. A message to stay clear for other animals.
