This week Schony747 features the new SSR broad gauge grain wagons. The new wagons has enabled the broad gauge grain consist to increase from 20 to 40 wagons. The wagons which are blue in colour have only been in service for a few weeks and alreadt have new art work. The increase in train size and weight also requires more locomotive power. So the regular lashups are more likely to see 4 locomotives instead of the current 2. This consist is N464, S317, S311 and N466.

Have a great week - Brenden S.

They are nice colour wagons! Bit disappointed they were graffitied so soon…

Stop calling it graffiti art work, this is pure and simple vandalism of someone else’s property, and the full weight of the law should be imposed on anyone caught doing this

AS Greg states below... wagons sitting in yards is where they get graffitied! One only has to look at the SCT covered wagons, almost a decade of service and virtually NO graffiti but as soon as they started sitting in the yard in Queensland and kapow EVERY wagon covered! No fencing and NO security are the reason but once the wagons are tagged then no further graffiti is done.

You took 3 views of the same side of the train. It would have been a nice variant to see the other side of the train.
I did see this rake in Totty Yard pre graffiti, it looked so good.

They sit in the yards waiting to be put into service, and it's just open slather, noticed a lot of wagons at Tottenham yards and Nth Geelong, waiting to head Nth for the grain harvest, good security these yards have

Factory paint jobs - unless critically specified - can be awful.
Graffiti/vandalism may slow down the rust. And also - Would these waggons ever get washed ?
I'm impressed that the vandals can afford so much paint. KW could blow blue paint on - 3 minutes per side.
A quick paint job by volunteers would certainly p-off the 'artists'. GET TOGETHER YOU TRAIN SPOTTERS.
