Its such a great synth and a bargain for that!
But we need android editor support finaly! Long awaited and promised, the Deepmind Community cannot hold any longer! It would be such an extetion of the DM capabilties and make it relevant again for the 2020s.

So please bring us a connection to the non apple world. We've made posts and memes, threads and workarounds, but a behringer original would be much appreciated!
Best wishes

I tried connecting the 12d to an M-Audio Oxygen 25 controller using a usb with d-shape on both ends but nothing lights up. No power. Nothing?

While it is nice that all DeepMind 12 functions can be controlled via an iPad or Android device, I abhor having to use an external computer touch based device to control a synth or any other studio instrument or product. Had the editor been a dedicated external real time controller with lots of knobs, sliders, and switches, maybe. Even then it is just another item that detracts from the interface of the actual instrument and makes it far less intuitive.

There is a reason many people, myself included, use and love vintage analog synthesizers and not just for their wonderful tone. The simplicity in which sounds can be achieved due to the extensive real time controls offers a playability and creativeness that doesn't inhibit the creation process. If I wanted to use a mouse or touch pad I'd simply buy a VSTi, not a hardware based instrument. I understand price point is king and that the DM12 had to reach a target audience which it will do in spades. There are others of us out there who would gladly pay more money though for more real time controls and a much more intuitive interface. Had Uli offered a $1, 999 MSRP DM12 with 61 or 76 keys, a broader 2nd DCO, more real time based controls, and audio inputs to process external sounds, I'd be all over that like white on rice. I would prefer the sound architecture not be Juno 106 based, but even then I'd buy it if the real time control architecture was more advanced. As it sits now, it is a gilded lily to me.

The DM12 is a monumental start for a fledgling synth manufacturer and Uli and company will learn quickly what the market wants and will bear. I wish them luck but I don't think it is needed for the DM12 launch. I can see DM12's in Walmart for Christmas.
