That 80s Dokken lineup was magical, still listen to this day

George is really patient in having to answer these same old Dokken-reunion questions. He's continuing to put out great new music and projects so there is no need to keep dwelling on the past. I love the old Dokken records and it was a special time back then. George is nice to keep answering these questions. Noel Gallagher gets pretty testy when people ask him about re-forming Oasis.

For Don to be singing still, after all these years and with his vocal issues, he deserves upmost respect imo. George was and still is an awesome guitar player. Levin does an unbelievable job in replicating George’s guitar parts, truly. And finally, the fact that Don and George can play together at present, even if it is just 3 songs etc — is a real blessing. So greatful to hear these two greats play together still. Truly greatful, and very very humbling to see.

God bless you all anyhow. How lucky to find a compatible musician friend who happens to live down the street. It might be a lucky occurrence to some. And it can be a "has never happened to me" to some. 😢

This man must've made a deal with the devil when he looks like that at nearly 70. He looks easily 20 years younger. Not to mention his playing shape still being just as great.

Very sad. I just saw (Don) Dokken last night in Bay City, Michigan and really missed George. The backing band was good, but I missed out on seeing Dokken in the 80’s and would really like to see George & Don together again.

I just don't think it's physically possible for Don to get his voice back in shape after the trouble he's had . Unless they find a way to repair damaged nerves theres only so much the man can do.

Jesus, he just stunned me when he said he's 69 and Don is 70. Fuck I'm old.

I still think that it is plausible (With Steve taking the place of Mick as George speculated) that in the timeframe of the next couple of years a studio project could happen with 3 of the 4 classic lineup members. Scorpions released a new album last year and two key members are older than the Dokken guys. For now I'm looking forward to the next Dokken, Lynch Mob, and End Machine releases; Chris Macarvill said that Don sounds really good on the upcoming Dokken album so if he can find a middle ground between where was was in the eighties and where he was lately that would be a positive.

Thats upsetting about Mick. Don, as much as i love him and his voice, he doesn't have what he did, which im not blaming him. George is one of the best guitarists ever, but sad that they still have issues. Jeff, however, is and always has been the love of my life. And looks good still, sounds good, plays well. I love what they did with their own bands as well as T&N.
