Yesss!!! My dad used to always say that to me about “do what you love and you’ll never work” and funny enough I called him from college and reminded him of that I told him college isn’t what I loved and I needed to do hair bc that’s what I loved 😅 but I wound up doing hair almost 20 years until my back gave out! I’m still struggling not doing it every day 😢 it came so naturally to me I became so successful without even trying!

I love you saying "theres nothing wrong with being an introvert" i felt so ashamed for so so long about being an introvert, but like you, in my late 20s and early 30s ive learned to embrace it. Never been happier 😊 i have a job where i get to work alone and i get to choose who i spend my time and energy with outside of work now thay im no longer in school. I do noooottt miss high school or college..the halls, lunch lines, speeches....eeek. and college was almsot worse with all the clicks and living in a dorm full of all girls ( a lot of mean gurls) i was a straight a student and athlete and loved group things when it came to sports but when it came to socializing ive definitely always been easily drained in groups esepcially groups of extroverts and always felt something was wrong with me. Definitely nice learning as you grow older and especially learning to understand and accept yourself is one of the most important, liberating and peace-bringing things.
I also agree we could use a few more quiet people in the world. I think some people feel they need to fill space with talking... but a large amount of communication is actually non- verbal. And i also subscribe to the idea that when youre talking youre typically only saying something you already know but when youre quiet and listening its an opportuninty to learn new things and hear what others have to say. 🙂

I loved this video and subscribed. I found you through Emily’s makeup bag’s recent video. I agree with everything you talked about. I’m an introvert and I used to get told I was anti social. I’m definitely not anti social and there is a huge difference between the two. Happy belated birthday 🥳

"Raises hand" as an introvert. ☺ I hated anything related to pressure to participate in school which was absolutely due to social anxiety. Learning self acceptance is key and definitely not an easy journey. Maybe you can relate to this but as an introvert my least favorite types of social situations are group situations. Love one on one interaction and that's when I really feel I'm my true self socially. Also definitely need to time to process and recharge after social interactions. So good to reflect on the things we learn from each decade. Happy belated birthday to you and here's wishing you many more! Continue to be so glad to have subscribed to your channel!!

I identify so much with you! I was the same in school, very quiet. I can remember just being terrified of being called on in class. I spent a large part of my life wishing I was more extroverted. As I've gotten older, I just accept that I'm fine the way I am and there's nothing wrong with it.I hope you had a happy birthday!🧁🎂

💖 my son and I are introverts and my daughter is completely opposite.

My daughter is 37 and she had her kids at 32 and 34 and she is on the early side for her group of friends. Many of them didn’t want to start a family until 35/36. You guys don’t need to be in a rush.

Tbh my parents were 33 when they had my brother and I think he had a way easier childhood than me bc our parents were more mature, wiser etc ! My brother just turned 30 and he’s just now getting married and having kids! 30 is young 😊

I didn’t think I wanted kids. I was almost 36 when I had Lucas and almost 40 when I had Adelynn. Their is absolutely No rush. I think when you’re ready, you will know.
