Every time I switch my Prophet X on it takes me to new places where other synths in the past have not. The Prophet X is basically a Rev2 but you can then add and manipulate any RAW WAV file and manipulate it into anything. For those who knock this synth, maybe you should go into your local music store and play one for a few hours. It does actually have a soul, because you never know what you are going to get out of it. it is a very very deep machine, and its capabilities are incredible. It creams over any workstation I have ever heard and its all down to the user personal preferences..

Love this synth but was really hoping 8dio would bring more of their Kontakt libraries to Prophet X instead of focusing primarily on legacy synths only. Similar to Kurt Adler and his amazing KAPro libraries for Kronos.

Brill vibe and vibrancy! Are these sound, like ARP2600, from $50 8Dio packs, or there is something on board already? I am catching myself that when it comes on VST I always used SAM, OBX, Prophet5, ARP2600, and Moog. When you got sound of a classic like on these demos, how much would you tweak? Versus on Quantum? Do you just enjoy the purity of original sample and give extra polish with PX and/or mix with 2 other PX osc to make an ultimate sound that is personal for you? Sorry if I ask too many question on the same Iridium or PropetX things, but it’s very interesting subject (not just me picking synth :)

I tried really hard to like this one, but felt it fell short, especially around the creation and editing of your own samples. If you are happy with the existing libraries available (of which there are many quality ones out there) then this is most likely a good edition to your studio.
