One of my favorite songs ever. A little history.
I was 16 the year it came out, I had just had my physical for the draft. I was 1-A. The Vietnam war was raging. The lottery had been established and we stared at the TV while our fates were drawn. I waited, and waited... and waited. Out of 366, mine was 328. I would never be called, ever.
Fate said that I would live to go to my friend's funerals.
I joined the peace movement.
Through all of this, "Bridge Over Troubled Water" played on the radio, our record players, in classes at school, everywhere.
I played it on paino at every gig. It represented a peace in our souls, a willingness to selflessly love our neighbor.
I can't extricate this song from my life. We grew up together. For folks my age this song runs very deep in us.
You guys did a nice arrangement. Thanks for treating it with respect.

This was my sister’s favorite song when we were children. She and I listened to this song daily so I instantly recalled all of the words! I have NEVER heard a better rendition of this beautiful song! God is too faithful to fail.
