Attempting to air layer a pecan tree has been a side project of mine for a couple of years, now. The best success we have had so far wound up getting planted where our future box wall will go, so it has to be moved .. and that means we get to have a look at what kind of root structure has emerged from this tree cloning experiment!

Congratulations on your air layering. I remember that video. I used a 2 liter pop bottle, and wet peat moss, tape and aluminum foil. I was really excited when it worked. (Concord grape). You must have picked a time from the Almanac, as the warm winter so far. Anyway, go NUTS! :)
