I stopped going to church over 15 years ago. I was attending church but became very very sick and was having a hard time breathing and would wake up in the middle the night struggling for air. My doctor was giving me steroids to help me survive and I told the Sunday school teacher my breathing problems and the medications I had to take to survive. Then the Sunday school teacher said l wonder how many of my tax dollars are paying for your medication and not having any concern if I lived or died. Right then and there I seen them for what they really are and I have never stepped foot in a church and never will again.

Religion in the US is on a decline based on church attendance. I think this is why we are seeing an increase of the religious in politics, a last desperate attempt to hold on to power and relevance. Science and reason will prevail.
