I installed it, but there's frame loss. Example: in the website, it's 60fps, in the gif viewer, it's 25fps.

Thank you for mentioning that. I honestly did not think of that. I believe running a registry cleaner after deleting "rundll32.exe and shimgvw.dll" in the C drive should clean that up

This is great! Is there any way you could add an option on the bottom buttons to set the viewing speed or frame rate? A lot of the gifs I'm viewing are very slow, while others are way too quick. Thanks!

Great app. I noticed once I updated to also default view jpg and png that it doesn't honor the sort order of the directory when scanning through photos. Any thoughts on that?

Hi Goofwear1 - Thank you for your time in developing this software. I have noticed some undesirable side effects and would like to effectively "uninstall" the changes. Could you please provide either an uninstaller that will roll back the registry changes, or at least provide the default registry settings that are modified by this application from a "stock" Windows 7 installation? If this information was provided on your website, it would likely increase the credibility of the app as well!

Windows 10 Home 64bit. I install the 64bit version, and when I try to open a GIF I get "Error loading C://shimgvw.dll A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed." Help?

@TheKlimat yes. if you still have the installer. then right click and extract it to your desktop and in wordpad or notepad++ open the ".reg" file and change gif to jpg save it. and then double click the reg key to add it, . then doe the same and replace it to png.

Hi. Two questions. 1) When I install, 'Browse' is greyed out, so I can only install in C:\, which I don't want. Any thoughts as to why this is? 2) What download manager are you using there?

@ryancrazy1 goofwear.com/windows/ the first pick is for 32 bit, and the second pic that says update flashing in red is for 64 bit

the reason norton is doing that is because I am using modifed file form an xp disk and getting them to work in windows 7. also it probably does not like the fact that those 2 files are in the root of the c drive in stead of the c:windows\system32 folder . and since they are modified form the originals there digital signature does not match

@suppor7er You should not have to at all i think your antivirus or something like windows uac stopped the registry keep from being applied. you should be able to double click on any gif and have it open with the gif viewer.

as long as your pics are in the same folder as the .gif file open the gif pic first and arrow through to the other ones or now

It works and it's not a virus.
But chrome still shows gifs at their correct speed.

@goofwear1 So, how do I set this up to open jpegs, bmps, pngs, etc. etc. by default?
I tried to tell Windows to use shimgvw.dll but when I try to open a jpeg or whatever it tells me that it's not a valid win32 app.

This works great for .gifs--but I can't seem to "find" the exe or dll it's running.

I'd like to set this prog to view jpg files too--so when I open a folder, if the first file isn't a gif, they will still play.

If I try to associate jpg files with this prog... where do I point the "open with" dialog to?
