I recommend that battery terminals are cleaned to remove corrosion whilst you've got the battery out and a little wire brush on that positive connector will make a better contact and keep it cranking longer.

This was good...Thanks...they make it much more challenging to replace a battery these day having to remove parts..they do this so the average person says no and takes it to a dealer

It is incredible the terrible design of battery placement. The 2020 Outlander has a lot of room to place the intakes elsewhere. Access to battery has to be free of obstacles

I have a 2012 model and am just now having to replace the battery. I'm going to buy some clips before doing so. Why TF would they build it so you have to remove a cover and that air intake vent just to change the battery!?

I would just like to say, this shit literally saved my ass, I had to run 30 minutes to, and from walmart with a heavy as hell battery and a set of tools, but I got it done. My phone was dead, and strangers looked at me wierd when I asked if I could make a call for help.

Thank you. Of course I go to start this and immediately got stuck on removing the clips. The clips on my car have a rubbery head so why you try to get under them the head just flexes. Grrrrh.

My Outlander Sport just went crazy when I tried to start it clicking and flashing error messages. I'm hoping replacing the battery will fix the problem. Have you ran into that issue?

remove negative first,
then positive,

Is the hood deflector a factory RVR, or an after market?
