Now as Bulgarian, who was traveling all across Europe and living the corporate life, now in the beginning of my 30s, I appreciate Bulgaria more than ever and I am happy that you also do. I am currently paying my mortgage in capital and looking forward to buy something outside the big city and give my kids the chance to try this village life and choose their own path, either the capital life or the village life.

We moved to rural Bulgaria 10 years ago. Best thing we've ever done, love it. Only regret that we didn't do it when we were your age.
I so remember that feeling of excitement and trepidation when we began the journey. But we've never looked back. Every day is an adventure. The Bulgarian people are warm, kind and generous.

Good on you! Welcome to my country of birth, I've been living in UK for the last 30 years, a lot has changed here since and all is not to my liking, so time for us to move back too. Needless to say Bulgaria has it's own problems, but also has a lot to offer, nice weather, a beautiful nature, you can grow your own organic produce, people a friendly and welcoming to foreigners, I know that, my wife isn't Bulgarian. So good luck to you guys, I hope you find happiness there.

You all are our new obsession! We just have to admire you. Thank goodness we chose a bit easier route and had a bit of living space, which looking at yours, was fantastic! We also had a smattering of the language which helped. It was really heartwarming to be welcomed into the community too, , everyone was supportive and helpful!
