I'm 66 and Elvis still rings my bell! Dad and I were big Elvis fans. I was 5 and we went to see this movie. He was mesmerizing. Dad and Elvis were the same age. On that hot August day in 1977 when we heard Elvis was dead...we were all shocked, it felt as if a close family member had died! My husband and I went straight to my parents home. It was quiet except for the tributes all 3 tv channels had all that night and several days until his funeral. We were sad and somber! I know that seems odd, he was just an entertainer. But we grew up watching him, listening to him and keeping up with his life! He was humble, clean cut, respectful and sang about LOVE. He was a nice guy from the South. I've never enjoyed another entertainer as I did him! RIP Elvis...

Elvis loved many forms of music. One of his loves was black soul music and it's rhythm and blues. In this movie, GIRLS!GIRLS!GIRLS!, he impersonates the moves of a singer he real admired: Jackie Wilson. Wilson, like Elvis, was a very dynamic stage performer.
