I think that originally, yes, it was a real scar, and when it started to fade, she realized the attention she was getting with it was going to fade too, so now she just makes it more dramatic with makeup to maintain the views. She also probably “changes” it and moves it so the controversy continues and she is still in the spotlight.

Also as an SPFX artist (another good group of people to ask this to) she may be using alcohol or oil based paints to avoid it being rubbed off through usual means. Because of course we have that technology, it's not a hard thing to fake

That scar is definitely sus, unless she has others (even if less severe). If she has pigmentation issues like that after injury (I do, but not that severe), she would have other spots with issues. My hands are an absolute mess, because I hyperpigment from even minor injury.

I bet it started off as a real scar and started shrinking and lightening up over time. When she noticed, she felt the need to emphasize it again because she’s based her entire Internet personality around it. What kind of a attention would she get simply being a pretty girl on the internet? But a pretty girl on the internet with a large scar on her face? Now that’s some clout right there. I genuinely believe she's using henna to do this. Henna won't come off with makeup removers and the color is quite similar.
We've seen people use it for freckles so it would make sense.

Usually even waterproof makeup can wipe off. I think she might’ve noticed she had gotten clout for her scar, used a super dark fake tan on it to make it not wipe off, and tell people that it’s a “whole different star”
