5 Iconic Djent Riffs (Drop G#)

Periphery, Northlane, Invent Animate, Volumes, and Polaris. Little bit of old and a little bit of new. Admittedly, the Invent Animate riff isn't exactly iconic but I thought throwing in SOMETHING from Everchanger was necessary. All the other riffs are absolute staples in the genre and deserve a spot on the list. Cheers, djentlemen.

This man has excellent taste in riffing. Two off the top of the head that would have fit well with this list is Neo Seoul by After the Burial, that main riff after the opening and Tremors by Currents between the 30 and 50 sec mark. And between the 2 min and ten - 2 min 35 sec mark. Absolutely devastating riffage.

The first riff of this compilation is exactly the first djent riff I've heard in my life over 10 years ago 🙃

That classic Invent Animate and Northlane style is a tier above anything else for me. Not just in that era of metalcore, but any era of metalcore. When everybody else started to do it, they just couldn't do it as well (IMO obviously, not everyone agrees with that, and that's perfectly fine)

VIA is literally my fav...major key riffs imo are so heavy.. the lower tuning and rhythm mixed with the happy sound adds such a contrast that makes you wanna crip walk in the pit

I've been listening to this for days. I really like this better than the originals even. I really love the synth arpeggios you added on Dispossession and Pray For Rain. Can you please do full covers of these?

My man, could you make some tutorials of how to achieve such recordings? Your tone and mix are on point
