If your LP(a) was 68mg/dl, would you insist on getting PCSK9 inhibitors to treat it?

I have become skeptical that Quest/labCorp are measuring LPa accurately or precisely. My labs have ranged from 70 to 100 nmol/L

Somehow I just knew there was a new drug coming up in the near future for this new "bad Guy". The big question is, will lowering Lp(a) have a meaningful effect on lowering ASCVD event rates? We will see what the future holds.

When you say that statins might increase Lp(a), what do you mean exactly?
Do you mean that one LDL particle can have more than one "cringle" attached to it?
Would that be apo(a) divided by apoB?
