I got this for Christmas as well, great release and yes I would love a new Bottom set too fingers crossed 🤞. The BBC wouldn't dare make anything like this nowadays which is a shame.

They showed the series here in the US on some PBS (Public Broadcasting) along with Good Neighbors, Fawlty Towers, Dr. Who, Monty Python, and others. I loved the Young Ones and hopefully I can find a copy that will work in this region. Thanks for letting us know this exists and sharing the details!

I've got the 3 DVD 25th anniversary collection but it sounds like the blu ray has many more special features. Think I might just upgrade.

Hi mate. Great to see you on here again. Good video. I must say they really need to bring out Only Fools and horses UNCUT. As new fans of the show have missed out on how good this show REALLY is and was when it was first broadcast on TV.

Hi mate. I watched the episode "Nasty" on iplayer and the song by the Damned was cut of every lyric and as i grew up and a big video nasties collector on VHS i loved that episode. Until now i couldn't find out any information on the bluray. Nice to know the music video is intact on physical media.

I got that that young ones blu ray it’s amazing and if they did bring bottom out on blu ray we need the live shows too as well as the movie

I was watching the young ones a few month ago and imho i think it still stands up well .
When i was a nipper i never liked or understood alexi sayle, i thought he was a bit of a nutter tbh but watching again through older eyes how wrong i was .
He was ahead of his time and a damn fine comedian

I was 13 when it was broadcast, in November 1982. I love it as much as ever, but it's angered me for years that the original broadcast episodes remained unreleased. One example I always remember is when Rick (in 'Nasty') turns out the bathroom light, leaving Neil in the bath, and in the dark. Neil sings "Hello darkness my old friend..." from The Sound of Silence. Can you confirm this, and other, cut scenes have been restored?

I’m really holding out for a Bottom set. Probably my favourite comedy show ever, along with all the live shows too. My mother introduced it to me when I was a kid. As for Guest House Paradiso, how amazing would it be if they gave it a proper restoration? The DVD copy looks pretty awful, it deserves the real HD treatment!
