Shameful. Clarida had resigned from the Fed due to insider trading and they still bring him as a guest? He needs to be in jail along with other Fed members

You may not have noticed inflation in years past, But 8%+ inflation over the past year should've taught you that the cost of living increases every year (home prices, rent, groceries, plane tickets, home repairs, etc.) Only way to beat inflation is by investing your money

Joe has no idea what hyperinflation can cause it's worse than trying to fix inflation by raising rates coming from a country where you don't know the price of products and goods you can't do business

Why would you believe a Fed that eases conditions 2 weeks after they tighten?

Instead of raising rates, we could just raise taxes on non-productive activity. That would allow us to pay down the debt and sustain high growth. Unfortunately it is politically unpopular.

In my opinion, according to what I heard in my college macroeconomics class, the reason why lower inflation would hurt the middle class is because, in order for the FED to lower inflation, they have to raise rates, lowering debt, which lowers demand. Any lower prices would be from a decline in demand. If they just get rid of all the money that they printed, reversing our inflation and bringing prices to how they were, our economy would likely collapse overnight. That's why historically, the FED dropping inflation by a percent has had a 2-3 percent decrease in GDP. But the recent surge in demand from inflation is only temporary, as people will eventually adjust and cut back on spending, which we are starting to see. The FED has backed itself into a corner. My advice to anyone feeling the heat in this inflation, just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 120k from day trading with Marie Freeman in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes

Or, Congress and the President can take aggressive measures toward price gouging. The economy, especially in the US, is nothing like the 70s or 80s.

WHEN THE US FED GOT INTO THE BUSINESS OF RUNNING THE US STOCK EXCHANGE, THEY DID NOT EXPECT THEY WOULD BE TIMING THE STOCK MARKET LIKE OTHER GAMBLERS BUT AT A MUCH GIGANTIC SCALE THAT COULD CAUSE THE COLLAPSE OF THE USA ECONOMY.

Data dependent means the Fed should raise to 8% and stay there for 2-3 years.

Awesome questions don't get to see a Fed former or current official get straight up questions - they caused the inflation

Housing is the single biggest contributor to CPI/ inflation increases nominally. Why not address RE specifically and keep the super strong job market alone?

- Tax incentives for developers to BUILD MORE
- Higher taxes on short term rentals to incentivize investors to sell
- Higher property taxes on additional homes to incentivize owners to sell excess property

Believing or not believing is not the only options. How about ignoring the Fed like most are doing. Make this irrelevant and they can't jerk you around.

Meanwhile we will stagflate the all the way there, as fed allowed inflation a 2 year head start.
