1. Get crystal clear on your true purpose, your greatest gift, and how you are going to express that through photography. To start figuring this out, ask yourself, what will be your life experience as a photographer 2 years from now if everything goes exactly as you plan? Take some time to imagine it. Then ask yourself, what will having that do for me?

Get crystal clear on who out there needs what you have to offer, & why. Don't take the "build it and they will come." approach, in this economy that just won't work. To be sustainable and realize your aspirations, you need to plug yourself into an ecosystem where you are providing clear value to those who need it.
