As someone who was stuck on oxys after an injury.. i have never seen such a picture perfect example of the rollercoaster opiates are as this. From when he first gets on them and is all happy to starting to need more to the scene where hes screaming at his dr saying his pain is at an 11 now without the meds and licking his pill container.. i DID ALL OF THAT when i was a user. Been clean for over a year now and i watch this show if i ever get cravings to remind myself what id be getting myself into. This show has helped me stay clean and happy.

Oh this turns my stomach. My ex-husband got addicted to oxy and when he couldn’t afford it anymore, he turned to heroin, walked out on me and our two kids who were three and four at the time. We haven’t seen him since the kids were probably 11 and 12. We don’t know where he is or if he’s alive. Oxy really does destroy families.

Just watched. Sick tj my stomach - this was happening under my families noses. My father was a fireman across the street from Purdue Pharma’s Norwalk CT building. I used to ride my bike in their parking lot when I was little. Eventually my construction company tour it down around 2014ish when Lowes Home Improvememt bought the property which is now one of the busiest and most lucrative Lowes in the world. A LOT OF STUFF goes down in Fairfield County CT…..the most powerful people live there and Westchester County NY. People with total anonymity. I personally know 1 of the 5 bankers who Congress blamed for creating the mortgage bubble in 2008. Clinton made sure all 5 had a Get Out of Jail Free Card.

my uncle died from an opioid overdose after he got hurt unloading trucks at the local walmart...when purdue got away that first time i was so angry i cant even explain it cause it felt like the good guys lost

HBO’s 2 part documentary “crime of the century”, they did a fantastic job investigating all of this. I have yet to watch Dopesick tho. I’ll check that one out.

Uzo Abduba is fantastic and, of course, Mathew Broderick totally nailed the eccentric, weirdo, sociopath role. Had to watch this in small doses because it's a lot of exposure to the lowest common denominator in humanity.

Find it hilarious people ripped this show to 💩 and compared it to Dopesick on Hulu. Ffs that’s like saying this 9/11 movie was crap and this one was so much better when in fact they both did a fine job. Oh and can we focus on the more serious aspect of this? Like idk….the actual interviews given in the beginning of each episode about those lost? was the “worst” one that did that!

A gf i had of 2 years, left me to be with a guy who sold oxycontin, ,her 18 year old daughter told me a few months after me and her mom seperated, , that the guy she left me for, kept her high on them recall taking one once, ,,,I took it for a knee injury, it was WAAAAY to strong, true, i no longer felt the pain, but i was fcuking high as hell, i couldnt do shit, , , , oxycontin is a bad

This movie is awesome. The truth cones out. But it needs a follow up. The source of the opium ie Afghanistan. The depth of USA government corruption. Which is why oxycontin is legal.
