Jeep Wrangler Review

The Jeep brand has been around for 75 years. Ever since 1941, when the Jeep was built for the Army it has been an icon. Copied by Land Rover, land Cruiser and Mercedes but this is the original SUV and 4X4.
Sold as a 2-door or 4-door Unlimited Wrangler, this is one of the best selling compact SUVs on the road. It has a 3.6l V6 engine and either a 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual with true 4X4 capability and the option to have a locking rear differential.
The Jeep Wrangler proves that there is a place for something different in the marketplace.
Competitors to the Jeep Wrangler are the Mercedes G-Class, the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport,Land Rover Defender, Land Rover LR4, Land Rover Discovery, Jeep Rubicon, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Ford Raptor, Toyota Tacoma TRDpro, Nissan Xterra, Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus LX470

As a 10 year old I learned to drive on an "original" (crank start or electric start, no heater, canvas top, vacuum wipers, PTO for a circular saw, etc.). She was wonderful...Gawd, I miss her...not sure I could ever get used to this one...

I've driven many of these over the years and though they're not the easiest to drive in the city, esp with a manual, they're so so much fun out in the country. You can pretty much do anything and go anywhere.

4 years later and that resale value is still there. People been waiting for the Jeep Wrangler price bubble to burst for 11 years.

Nice video. The man talks and articulates very well, although I am not sure if Jeep's heater not being hot enough for softtop is really true. I hear the heater and A/C of these beasts are fantastic. actually I hear the heaters are too darn hot and A/Cs are too freezing.

I appreciate the video it was informative, however I'm glad the interior hasn't changed or upgraded. New interiors are a pain to clean. Yes the plastic looks dated and rough but its stupid durable and easily cleaned with just normal car wipes. Again thanks for the review of the Jeep.

Great review, as always. Just remember all new model comes out next year. Should have some major upgrades. I would wait to see if FCA fixes the majority of your gripes. Definitely long in the tooth. But if they mess with it to much I would stick with the older model. FCA is not doing to well as they keep asking for other companies to merge with them.

Hey, do you touch up the colors of your video footage? Because some footage look so desaturated, while others look great.

I've had a couple of manual transmission jeeps over the years and they held up well. But, even retaining high value, $50K is steep for a vehicle that was the model for simple utility. I would wonder if factoring in the operating costs of a Subaru or 4Motion VW even with depreciation might still be less expensive.

What do you think is the best entry luxury SUV? It would be nice to know your opinion!

This will be your most viewed for its popularity of the #Jeep brand etc. Now if only you did this review up in Whistler instead of the G Wagon!
