COBB STAGE 2 HOW TO INSTALL

In this video I'm installing a Cobb Catted downpipe into Kevin's 2014 Subaru WRX. I will go over step by step the process of the Stage 2 install form Removal of the intercooler and downpipe to the flash of the ECU from the Cobb Accessport. Also in this video I have some trouble with one of the turbo downpipe bolts and I will show you how I was able to break the bolt with heat and PB Blaster. Hope you guys like this how to install video.

Kevins car has a Cobb Sf+ Intake and Cobb Catback Exhaust.

Thanks for being so detailed on this install and your other videos! I think this is the only video where someone shows the ENTIRE heat shield assembly (upper, lower, and associated brackets) mocked up on the OEM downpipe, which makes removing or reinstall super easy to do.

Make sure you don't miss the step about dropping the bolts, that is very important! Way to roll with the punches man! Loved the video, very detailed.

Good video.  Kevin looked totally stoked when he got fire his car up.  It made a subtle change to the exhaust note.  A bit more raw sounding. The stock unit sounded like listening to something with your hands over the speakers.  Top work!

I have to remember to drop the bolts. Just put on CBE on my 16 STI and can't wait to put DP on. This video was very insightful, thanks.

Great vid! I just installed a dp today and it went much smoother thanks to you. Glad you said something about the penetrating oil/anti-seeze burning off because I had a tiny amount of smoke which would have worried the hell out of me. Keep it coming! Thanks Blake you da man!

+Blake's Garage Great video man not too long and shows every little step! One thing I always like to do when im removing fossilized exhaust bolts/studs is to hit them with PB blaster (like you did) and then give the bolt itself a few direct whacks with a hammer, helps break the tension on the threads and then they screw right out. Works every time. Thanks for your helpful videos, subscribed!

my good the heatsheild has a ton of bolts! Is that really necessary subaru? I guess they wanted no rattles... wish they would of had the same consideration for the interior panels!

At first I thought you were re-doing the stage 2 install on your Wrx. Great how to video! And great advise on buying replacement bolts/nuts ahead of time. I sheered both of mine off during my install.

This video makes it look so easy .. that heat shield is the devil lol.. rusted bolts, pb didn't work i probly strip and rip 7 of it and ended up with a metal hack saw 🤦🏻‍♂️. Other than that nice vid ..

I'm about to install a Megan racing catless dp on my 13 WRX you think the stage 2 plus SF will be alright or should I get low wastegate on the same map??
