I wish I could hit the like button twice on this video. I never thought I would hear an Aphex Twin paintball story on this channel. Bonus points for playing IABPOITC at 35rpm. Happy Cycling Ken!

Love Plone and I’ve got their first album on vinyl. It’s amazing that they released their second album 21 years after the first

Incredible collection of music Ken. Saw a Zach Danziger interview that he got into drum n bass from your mixtape of squarepusher and other u.k dnb stuff during the mid 90’s. Great channel! Looking forward for a Dan Weiss interview.

I won't make any other comments except to say that this is definitely one of the better vinyl oriented videos I have seen in a long time. Well done.

Hi Ken. I love that you listen to and appreciate electronic music. Thanks for sharing this on your channel.

I’ve learned a lot from you over the years. Keep up the good work.

I used to own 000s of electronic records due to me running a record store for 10 years.
Some great forgotten gems there Ken. I met most of my “heroes” of techno music, mainly from Detroit, due to the parties I put on. Luckily most of them were cool.
That fact that you interviewed Richard is cool, even though he was misbehaving.
My friend went to a gig very early on, where he was playing sandpaper😀 on a turntable.

Great collection of early Warp/Ninjatune, I got into it a bit later with the big beat era of the 90s, and french house. If I get into that time machine now it'll be more of your Squarepusher/FSOL style like Roni Size, Goldie, Leftfield.

Brought back some good memories for me seeing these albums. Agree that Super Furry Animals are one of the best bands in the world(right after the High Llamas). Thanks!

aphex twin's selected ambient works 1+2 are in my all times favourites and i still play them quite regulary. Also the most disturbing music video i ever saw (come to daddy) and the best printed calender i ever owned(^^). Outstanding artist!
and Four Tet is still running strong (sound changed ofc). I would recommend to visit a live show if you get the chance- absolutely worth the time.
and now i will go and relisten to every single Ninja Tune and Warp Records record i own...which might take a while.
thx for this vid, man. It brought up a lot of fun/good memories.
Also and despite the fact, that i try every day not to be a music-nazi, but can't help myself when it breaks through: some of these picks do NOT belong in a techno collection, but rather a widely defined "electronic music" one . fight me!^^

Loscil is great ! Lots of great electronic music on Kranky records. I recommend the first two Christopher Bissonnette albums unfortunately only on cd. Still have my original pressing of Feed Me Weird Things. Remember seeing him and Aphex live at a day festival in London in 96

Wonderful as always Ken! Johnny Smith a personal favorite. Classical percussionist: Evelyn Glennie - do know her work? Always great, maybe not too much on vinyl.

awesome seeing some more electronic from you Ken. So many great things!! You interviewed the Chemical Brothers?!?! Multiple times?!?! They are really what got me heavy into electronic back around '96-'97 with their singles on some Playstation games like WipeOut XL. Always thought if I ever was a millionaire, it would be cool to hire them for a birthday party bash. Haha. Ahh, the dreams of a 20-something year old. Haha! Still want to see them live one day. Oh yeah! Propellerheads, love that album! And so many other classics!!! Hope to see this continued... so many great things and so much I don't know.

Nice collection on Vinyl. I’m a little envious. Have a lot of AIR and FSOL on CD from back when - been picking up old T-Dream on Vinyl and started picking up some ‘90s re-issues.

As far as audiophile dynamics, soundscapes and mind blowing audible stimulation, it really is hard to beat electronic music (although I do love Jazz, acoustic, vocals, soul etc)

My Little brother were a DJ in the 90-ties. And it were allot of electronic records with promos and such in the basement.

Great video Ken, I bought a lot of these records starting around 1990 at Rebel Rebel record store on Bleecker street in the west village, long gone now.
