Here’s how to quickly cool down that hot car

If you turn off your a/c before you shut down your car because you're concerned about the compressor straining the engine when you crank it, you usually don't need to worry about that. Most cars made within the past 20 years or so won't engage the a/c compressor (which is driven by one of the belts under the hood) until the engine is running.

What I do is leave just a small opening in the window. It's doesn't prevent the vehicle from getting hot however this will prevent excessive heat from building up and will prevent a blowout from happening on your window's.

If anyone reads the manual, it usually says to leave the windows down until the inside air temperature is that of equal or less to the air temperature outside. Then wind up the windows and place the AC vent system in cabin recycle mode for best efficiency. This isn't achieved during remote start situations as efficiently.

Alright here's the real way to cool your car. Don't start the engine crack the windows and let it air out. Stand in the sun until you can't feel heat escaping from inside the car. By this time you should have started sweating. Now turn on the car and make sure the ac isn't recycling. Keep the rear passenger windows about 3-4 inches and do the same to the front windows if that's to hot go halfway. When the car starts to feel cool roll up the front windows. And raise the back windows until they're about an inch open. And let it run another 30 seconds to a minute. Roll em up then switch the function to recycle air.

The best thing to do crack the window morning or night just a little tint your windows put the cover on the front no matter what I'm in the desert heat I like to warm up my car and turn the AC right away
